Our mission at The Closet Boutique is to make shopping with us an experience, not just an errand. We aim to be the first place locals and visitors, alike, come to for the beginning of a stylish wardrobe. The Closet features a wide variety of must haves when it comes to premium denim; James Jeans, Hudson, Citizens of Humanity, AG Jeans and more. Tops and dresses by Free People, LA Made, Kensie and Knitted Dove are perfect for any occasion. We also offer a great variety of accessories, including a great selection of locally handcrafted jewelry and Ray Ban sunglasses, a favorite among celebrities. The Closet carries it all, with new shipments arriving weekly. We are located on Route One, in the heart of downtown Kennebunk, Maine.

After reading a magazine article about jobs in the fashion industry in eighth grade, Tracy Porell knew she wanted to be a clothing buyer. What better job could there be then shopping for a living?! After earning bachelor’s degree in psychology and experiencing a few other career paths, including a brief stint as a respiratory therapist, Tracy never forgot her school girl dream and went back to school to earn a degree in fashion merchandising. Shortly after graduating, and with the support of her husband, Tracy (no typo, they share the same name!) they opened the doors to The Closet Boutique. Six years later and Tracy still thinks there is no better job out there then shopping for a living and no better feeling then when a customer leaves smiling with a new purchase in hand.
